Blah

So I was planning on writing an article on Nintendo's and Google's foray into the future but when I went to publish on the Macs at school somehow the post was overwritten. I was quite bummed due to the fact that I have to finish and essay and now have to rewrite a blog. But I decided to change the topic to something non tech related.

Mace.

Mace is basically a can of oleoresin capsicum (pepper spray) or tear gas that you shoot at people for anti rape self defense. This then leaves an attacker immobilized and blinded from one push of a button.

So how did I come about thinking about mace? It all began with Frys.

If you have never been to Fry's you are missing out. It puts Circuit City, Best Buy, any computer store to shame. It is as large or larger than your local Costco and dedicated to electronics. Each Frys has certain themes or attractions such as the one in San Jose which has a tesla coil display (aka box with lighting bolts flying around). It is also one of the only places I have seen ~40 year olds discuss video games in public which they have beat, mastered and played into madness.

Well when I was there I went to go buy some stuff and was walking down and aisle and something caught my eye.

Mace in a pen.

Yes.

James Bond would have been proud. For $5 I could walk out of Fry's with a pen and and spray foos. Due to California law anyone can carry up to a certian amount of mace without a permit as long as they don't "misuse it".

I didn't buy it but one thing is for sure: Any electronics store that carries mace is dope.

(I guess?)
